We are looking to welcome new Visual Merchandising & Activities Co-Workers to our amazing Communication & Interior Design team based in our IKEA Birmingham unit.
Interviews for this role will take place between the 9th and the 12th of August.
WHAT WE OFFER • This is a salaried role. • Full-time, permanent contract working 39 hours a week (5 days out of 7). • Set shifts between 06:30am - 15:00pm and/or 07:30am - 16:00pm. • This role requires availability to work 1 weekend in 15, and occasional ad hoc late evening and early morning shifts may be required to support our range changes throughout the year. • As part of this role, you will be required to support at times with other projects around the UK. • Flexibility on availability to be discussed in full at interview.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE • You have an education in visual merchandising or industrial design and experience of working as a visual merchandiser, preferably within a home furnishings environment. • You are able to inspire, motivate and engage people fully to reach set goals, and generate growth and long-term profitability. • You continually seek new opportunities to make improvements in the way we work and encouraging your team to do the same. • Challenging your team and yourself in order to strengthen the IKEA Brand and, at the same time, exceed the expectations of customers. • Solid knowledge in design planning software including, AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY • Contribute to position the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market. • Provide inspiring home furnishing solutions for a single product or a combination of products that will support a convenient shopping experience and improve people’s life at home. • Use visual merchandising competence to strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA identity in range presentation solutions in the store by working with store layout, range presentation and vitality. • Stay updated on trends in home furnishing & retailing to generate creative directions that inspire and surprise visitors with a strong visual impression.
