Do you want to be a part of creating a new IKEA? We are looking for a Commercial Food Team Leader for our new city store in Copenhagen.
IKEA Copenhagen will be IKEA Denmark’s first city store and one of three Customer Meeting Points in the greater Copenhagen area, where we will bring IKEA closer to many people. With the new IKEA Copenhagen city store, our aim is to create a convenient omnichannel customer experience.
The store will offer a selected range of Home Furnishing accessories and small furniture items for immediate takeaway, and through strong inspiration, we will show the width of our home furnishing offer that our customers can order with relevant services.
WHO ARE YOU
We are looking for you who have experience in the commercial area and are a merchant at heart. It may be that you have experience as a store/restaurant manager in the franchise sector or from a larger retail chain, or perhaps you have acquired the competence in another way. You are ready to take the next step in your career, where you can really develop your leadership skills. We expect you to have a good commercial understanding and manage to implement new measures that can drive sales, fantastic customer experiences, and employee well-being.
In addition, we expect you to: • Has 3+ years of experience as a team leader and proven results with sales. • Understands the importance of working across departments and knows how you relate to different stakeholders in your daily work. • Has a high drive, is results-oriented, and can see yourself growing in the role. • You understand that we achieve our goals together - and that you are a role model for your employees. • You are not afraid to act where the need is, it may be in the bistro/cash register or something else that adds value to our guests and employees. • You practice visible management of the department, and you understand how this should be used.
A day in your life with us
You will have a wide range of responsibilities within the commercial area, such as responsibility for our Swedish food market, the bistro, the cafe, or the restaurant area, combined with personnel management. You can expect a varied everyday life with a wide range of exciting tasks.
Your tasks will include: • Daily management of our employees • Personnel development – including holding 1-1 interviews, salary interviews, development interviews, and ad hoc personnel-related tasks. • Responsibility for attracting and retaining existing guests and ensuring that IKEA Food is inspiring and a place guests want to visit. • Optimize sales in the entire IKEA food function as well as cross-merchandise our unique Swedish foods from our Swedish food market.

• This position is for an average of 37 hours pr. week on an individual contract. • Your working time will vary based on the business need, but with large flexibility within the working week. You will have both evening and weekend work. • Salary within IKEA’s salary policy is based on your competencies and includes pension. • We have various staff benefits including private health insurance, massage, staff canteen, staff discount, a discount club with external partners, yearly gift, and bonus. • Start date 1st of April 2023.
