Who we are

Data Discovery is a team that is developing and enabling capabilities for discoverability and observability of technical metadata within a vast data landscape, by providing tools and platforms for the thousands of data and software engineers at IKEA. Data Discovery is part of a larger organization called Data Enablement Technology, which develops, maintains, and provides the data foundational capabilities of IKEA.

We are an autonomous, self-organized team with an agile way of working. All team members participate in defining our short- and long-term goals, with everyone's opinion being valued during our planning. We acknowledge and address tech debt early and often, before it becomes a larger problem.

Together, we create a happy work environment where we try to put you in control of your activities, and always have the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. We believe in a healthy and flexible work/life balance. Our offices are based in Malmö and Helsingborg.

Why we will love you

You consider well-written documentation a feature, and understand the value of maintaining documentation of the highest quality. You are eager to learn and share your knowledge with your team, and not hesitate to jump into an issue where you believe you can be of assistance.

The IKEA culture and values are very much a part of our business and day to day activities. For you to thrive and grow with IKEA, it is important for us that you share our values! You can read about our values and life at IKEA on our website: https://about.ikea.com/en/work-with-us

Due to GDPR we cannot review any applications coming to us in other ways than through our recruitment program.

Our primary concern since the outbreak of corona virus has been the health and safety of our co-workers and candidates. Because of this, we have adapted our recruiting processes to be fully digital.

Studies show that members of underrepresented communities don’t apply for jobs unless they’re 100% “qualified”. If this is part of why you hesitate to apply, we would like you to reconsider and give it a chance. Maybe your profile fits our needs much better than you think. We look forward to receiving your application.
